Default Counseling

This service assists homeowners who are delinquent in their mortgage, taxes, water, or sewer payments and risk losing their home due to a foreclosure action against them.

Coalition staff work with homeowners to:

Identify the reason(s) for the default
Assess options and explain the ramifications of each
Link the homeowner with financial assistance programs, as appropriate
Interface with the lender or municipality, as needed
